Wake and American Tackle enter partnership

One of USA’s fastest growing tackle brands American Tackle has agreed a deal to distribute lures throughout the USA and Mexico for Finland based company Wake.

The deal was agreed earlier this year and a range of Wake lures was showcased on the American Tackle stand at this year’s ICAST show, with a great response from its pro anglers and retail buyers.

“The designs that Wake has are unusual and outside of the box – but they are great fish-catching lures, so it’s a real winning combination,” said American Tackle’s Darrin Heim.

“We are really positive about this deal and it is another piece in the jigsaw for our growing range. We now offer components, line, rods, lures and other accessories from great brands including MicroWave, Bushido, JigSkinz and Wake.”

Wake Fishing’s Jose Jaakola added: “This is obviously great news for us and I am expecting to greatly boost our USA presence with the help of the great team at American Tackle – they are some of the best marketers in the business.

“Initially we will be selling our current lure designs, but we also have plans to develop lures specifically for US fishing, with our unique twist. It will be exciting!”
